Long before the Sig Wonder, there was a series of Wonder-style models, starting with this one. It used an Ace foam wing and sheet balsa to keep it simple. I slapped it together in a weekend, so Bruce Sr. started calling it "Weekend Wonder," and the name stuck. It's not really shown, but it also had fins on the wingtips in addition to the one in the center. It was a hoot getting this one fly, but eventually it did, at least well enough for me to pursue several variations. Ahhh, will Wonders never cease...
