A few pix of my new Delta Vortex. Opened box on Monday the 8th and was
ready to fly Saturday at noon.
Great kit... fine wood and hardware. I put a JR in it and have all the
bells and whistles (rudders kick out as brakes, etc.). ST G90 with 14x8
prop turning now (30 minutes on it) 9,000 and showing 8 lbs 6 oz of thrust.
Model weighs in at 7 lbs. 14 oz. ready to fly. Colors are Metallic Plum,
White, Yellow, Circus Circus Pink... all Monokote.
With homemade battery pack (sub-c cells) in back of model, only had to add
3.7 oz of lead to balance at 21 3/8" from TE. Will try it there first
then move the CG back if necessary.
