Flyin' King Availability Notice from Bruce Tharpe

The Flyin' King has been out-of-stock since last November, but new kits should be ready to ship by June. It's been a frustrating situation for me because I've always strived to keep my kits in stock. I am truly sorry for the delay and appreciate the patience that so many of you have displayed.

During the time the kit was on hiatus, I decided to raise the kit price for the first time since it was introduced over eight years ago. The Flyin' King kit is now $159.95 and shipping is $10. However, it only seems fair to extend the old price ($149.95 plus $8.50 shipping) to those of you who have been so patient. Place your order by June 1, 2004 over the phone or through PayPal to receive this special offer. Your credit card will not be charged until the kit actually goes out the door, which should be sometime very close to the first of June.

ABOUT THE FLYIN' KING ARF

For several months now I have made quiet announcements here and at trade shows about ARF versions of the Venture 60 and Flyin' King. To my deep regret and a bit of embarrassment, that deal appears to be dead. BTE contracted with a new company that seemed to want to enter the ARF market in a big way. Seven months later, the new company decided to go in a different direction. It's a shame, really, because these designs would have made nice ARFs and the Flyin' King in particular would have been a rather unique product. So, for now at least, BTE will concentrate on maintaining its position as one of the best kit manufacturers in the business. Thanks for your understanding.
